ActiveTO, now in its third week, is expanding this weekend to Lake Shore West, where motor vehicle traffic will halt from Windermere to Stadium Road so that pedestrians and cyclists can enjoy the space during the current lockdown.
It joins the closures at:
Bayview Avenue, between Front Street East and Rosedale Valley Road,
River Street between Bayview Avenue and Spruce Street and,
The eastbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard East, between Leslie Street and Woodbine Avenue.
The closures will run this week from Saturday, May 15 at 6 a.m. until Sunday, May 16 at 9 p.m.
As well, roads through High Park remain closed to vehicle traffic for people to explore the park and get exercise while practicing physical distancing each weekend. Those closures run from Friday at approximately 11 p.m. until Monday at approximately 7 a.m.
As a reminder, if you wish to use the routes, you should do so only with members of their own household and access them by bike or as a pedestrian. Parking nearby is limited, and there is none onsite.
