The City of Toronto's Budget Committee has begun reviewing the staff-recommended 2022 operating and capital budgets ahead of final budget approval by City Council on Feb. 17. These budgets fund a range of day-to-day services and long-term plans, from transit, police and parks to infrastructure projects.
Before council approves the staff-recommended budgets, residents and businesses will have two opportunities to share their feedback with the Budget Committee by registering to speak at its meetings scheduled for 6 p.m. on Jan. 24 and 25. To sign up, email email@example.com or call 416-392-4666 by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 21.
Anyone who prefers to submit written comments can email them to the Budget Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org, or mail them to Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W., 10th floor, West Tower, Toronto, ON M5H 2N2. You can also email Councillor Filion’s office, at email@example.com.
Both meetings will be streamed live at youtube.com/TorontoCityCouncilLive.
