The Province is now rolling out enhanced vaccine certificates. These certificates include QR codes making it faster and more convenient to enter bars, restaurants, gyms and many other public locations requiring proof of vaccination because they can be quickly scanned at the door.
If you received your shots in Ontario, you can download your scannable certification over the next three days based on your month of birth - January to April today, May to August on Saturday, September to December on Sunday – or at any time after Monday, October 18.
Downloads are available on the Province's vaccine certificate website by entering your health card information, date of birth and postal code. Print a physical copy of this certificate and carry it with you, or save it on your smartphone by e-mailing it to yourself as a PDF. iPhones can also scan the QR code and save it directly to the Apple Health app.
Older vaccine receipts remain valid as proof of vaccination, but may require additional steps and slow down access to public locations. If you received one or both vaccines outside Ontario, contact Toronto Public Health for information on how to obtain your vaccine certificate at 416-338-7600.
