The City has announced the winner of its 2021 Toronto Book Award. Kim Echlin's Speak, Silence in a story of tragedy and community rebuilding, about a Toronto journalist traveling to a festival in Sarajevo and confronting the Bosnian war firsthand. You can learn more about the winning novel and all award finalists here, then look for them at the Toronto Public Library.


Toronto will also celebrate more than 300 authors and storytellers, including Margaret Atwood, Paul Auster and David Baldacci at the virtual 2021 Toronto International Festival of Authors from October 21 - 31.
