There will be no subway service on Line 1 between Finch and St Clair stations on Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24, 2021 to accommodate work on the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit construction project. While this work is being completed, the TTC is also using the closure to upgrade the signals on our section of the Subway line.
We also have another early subway closure starting next week. Subway service on Line 1 between Finch and Sheppard-Yonge stations will end at 11 p.m. nightly from Monday, January 25 to Thursday, January 28, 2021 for Automatic Train Control signal system upgrades. Regular service will resume at approximately 6 a.m. each following morning.
Shuttle buses will be running to replace service along the subway line during these closures. Buses will operate every 1.5 to 2 minutes, and supervisors will be stationed at key locations reminding and advising both customers and operators of the TTC’s mandatory mask policy.
