Councillor Filion is pleased to announce that he is accepting applications for the next cohort of his Willowdale Youth Council (WYC), 2020-2021!
The WYC is a unique opportunity for up to 15 youth living in or attending high school in Willowdale to learn more about their local community and connect with other young leaders.
As part of WYC, you can help shape our neighbourhood and learn how the City of Toronto operates by working with the office of Ward 18 Councillor John Filion. All participants will receive Community Service hours applicable to the required hours for graduation.
Applications are due by 5 pm on September 18, 2020! Send an email to Jesse James for an application: firstname.lastname@example.org
For the WYC cohort of 2020-2021, the meetings will all be virtual. That means WYC meetings will be online and WiFi-enabled devices are required. If you don’t have such a device, simply let us know in your e-mail.
Last year’s WYC had many meaningful meetings and created a fantastic Willowdale Youth Arts Festival that was adapted to a virtual format. See it here or in the video below.
