August 20 UPDATE - The highly-popular Mitchell Field vaccination clinic will be staying open after all, reversing an earlier decision to close it next week as the city's vaccination efforts transition to pop-up clinics.
This is very good news, especially as Mitchell Field is conveniently located and has been praised by residents both for its efficiency and helpful staff.
Vaccination rates in some parts of Willowdale are still below the city average. If you know someone who has not yet been fully vaccinated, please encourage them to do so.
As with the other clinics run by the City of Toronto, walk-in appointments are available from 1:00 – 7:00 PM from Tuesday to Sunday. If you want to book an appointment, you can do so here.
Please share this link with neighbours who may not have gone for their vaccine yet.
The City will be reducing the number of mass vaccination clinics later this month to focus on pop-up sites reaching those who have been reluctant to get first or second shots. The vaccination clinic at Mitchell Field will be closing on August 22.
There should be appointments available until then, in addition to walk-in appointments between noon and 7:00PM daily.
If you received your first dose at Mitchell Field in August, you will be informed of options on and where to book your second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. If you booked for a date at Mitchell Field after August 22, you should have been contacted already to move your appointment to an earlier date.
Vaccination clinics at Cloverdale Mall, the Hangar, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and Scarborough Town Centre will remain open and continue to offer COVID-19 vaccines.
