After being redeployed to address compliance of COVID-19 related bylaws, Municipal Licensing and Standards Officers resumed enforcing property standards in late August.
As of now, we have two dedicated Municipal Standards Officers in Ward 18, who are available Monday to Sunday to address concerns and investigate property standards infractions. While they have begun to address the backlog of ongoing issues, there are still a significant amount to work through, especially as they balance COVID related compliance with property standards issues.
Complaints can be made by calling 311, or by informing our office via e-mail. When reporting issues, including photos along with as much detail as possible can expedite investigations, and make it easier for us to take action.
