To celebrate New Year's Eve, the City of Toronto is planning an unprecedented fireworks display along Toronto's waterfront. The 10-minute high-altitude show will launch from several locations simultaneously at midnight. It will be viewable from Scarborough to Etobicoke anywhere that has a view of the lake.
In addition, the City will be livestreaming from the CN Tower with a mix of live and pre-recorded performances from various music and performing arts venues. The show will be available on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/c/Culture_TO. Show details will be announced on December 21 at www.toronto.ca/newyearseve.
Unlike previous years, the City New Year's celebrations will not be anchored in Nathan Phillips Square, in keeping with public health advice. The ongoing Cavalcade of Lights will however continue at City Hall through the holiday season with skating and ice sculptures (weather dependent) on display until January 7.
