Starting next Wednesday, September 22, you will need proof of vaccination in order to eat at a restaurant, go to the gym or a concert and attend events at banquet halls and convention centres, among other activities.
A centralized Ontario vaccine passport won't be available until October 22.
Until then, you can download proof of your first or second vaccination on the Province's COVID-19 portal. You can save the electronic receipt on your phone, or print it out and keep it on you.
To log into the portal, you will need your green photo ID OHIP card, your date of birth and your postal code.
If you have a red and white health card or do not have one at all, you can call 1-833-943-3900 for help in getting your receipt. If you received your first or second shot outside of Ontario, you will have to contact the local public health where you received your shot to request your vaccination information. If you have other questions you can call the Provincial Vaccine Information line at 1-888-999-6488.
