Proof of Vaccine for Travel

As of October 30, the Government of Canada is requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for most types of air, rail or marine travel. In Ontario, government issued vaccine passports are known formally as “enhanced vaccine certificates.” The new versions, with scanable QR codes, can be downloaded from the Province's website and used to access any public spaces requiring proof of vaccine.

The Government of Canada continues to work with international partners to obtain recognition and acceptance of vaccine documentation abroad. Though non-essential international travel is still not advised, those who must travel are advised to check vaccine requirements with their destination country.
