Residents of Long Term Care homes will be able to resume activities like communal dining and indoor gatherings, under new directives issued by the Province this week.
In addition, residents and their caregivers who are fully immunized may choose to have close physical contact beyond what is required for care and supervision. In non-government speak, that means that if you and your family member are fully vaccinated, you are allowed to hug.
The new directive also allows for all residents, regardless of their immunization status, to leave their homes on an essential absence, which includes outdoor exercise, buying groceries, or visiting the pharmacy – even while the provincial Stay-at-Home order is in place.
