There are several new measures, to keep users safe during the pandemic, that you should be aware of if you are planning to go for a skate.
There is a limit of 25 skaters at one time
Skate times will be run in 45-minute sessions
Skaters must stay 2 metres away from anyone outside their household
You can reserve a time online here.
John has arranged for the washrooms inside the North York Civic Centre to be open during skate times, although the building itself remains closed
To keep people safe, there is no indoor area to put on skates or store boots
Although booking a time is encouraged, 40% of the spots are being held for those who just show up and a willing to wait. City staff will be on site to help keep everyone safe and to help manage the line of those waiting their turn to skate.
