TIFF has announced their first batch of films, and information on what the 2021 festival will look like.
The movies announced so far include:
Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, screening as a World Exclusive IMAX Special Event at the Cinesphere Theatre at Ontario Place
Celebrating Alanis — a career retrospective of Indigenous Canadian icon Alanis Obomsawin
There will be the opportunity to see several films in person at venues including the TIFF Bell Lightbox, Roy Thomson Hall, and the Visa Screening Room at the Princess of Wales Theatre. However, the festival will be largely digital, and accessible from home.
TIFF will also be holding virtual conversations and Q&A sessions with some of the biggest names in film, available worldwide on TIFF Bell Digital Talks. Ticket sales have begun and can be purchased here. Digital package sales end on August 15.
