Toronto Local Appeal Body Review – May 30

The Toronto Local Appeal Body (TLAB) became effective on May 3 2017, replacing the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) as the body hearing appeals of Committee of Adjustment decisions relating to minor variance or severance applications. The City’s work to initiate a local appeal body that would be more concerned with local planning policies was initiated by John in 2014.

After a year of operation, the City of Toronto is conducting a review of TLAB’s Rules of Practice and Procedures. If you have any thoughts or comments you wish to share as part of this process, you are invited to attend a public consultation meeting on Wednesday, May 30 beginning at 9:30 AM in the Council Chamber of the North York Civic Centre (5100 Yonge).
