A half marathon will begin at 8:30 AMwith additional runs and walks starting in between.
The run, which will be travelling down Yonge Street, is supporting a number of local charities, including the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and Sick Kids Hospital. Organizers hope to surpass $1.2-million in contributions this year. Toronto Marathon staff will be working with city officials and the Toronto Police Service to minimize disruptions and reopen roads as quickly as possible.
Local residents should note road closures in the area from 6 AM – 10 AM. A full list of local streets affected can be found here.
