Welcome T.O. Winter Parks Plan

While the pandemic is still present in Toronto, We know that exercise isn’t just good for your physical wellbeing, but for your mental health as well. That’s why this week, Toronto released its Welcome T.O. Winter plan, which provides safe ways for people to get outside in Toronto’s parks, including at our 54 artificial ice rinks and five golf courses.

If you’re looking to stay active this winter, here are some options to discover:

  1. While you may have a favourite local hill to sled on, Toronto will have 23 official toboggan hills open across the city. The closest hill to Willowdale is at Graydon Hall Park at Don Mills and the 401, but be sure to take a look at the list and find a hill that’s convenient for you.

  2. We are opening up the city’s golf courses, including Don Valley Golf Course for walking and snowshoeing. Trails range in distance from 1 kilometre to 2.5 kilometres.

  3. The City is keeping its six disc-golf locations open through the winter, including the newest at Scarlett Woods Golf Course.
