Playgrounds Open Again
Willowdale has a lot of great playgrounds, and with the start of Stage 3 they are all now re-opened!
Parents and caregivers should know that the City will not be sanitizing equipment or play structures. Physical distancing is still important, so if playgrounds get too busy, it might be smart to find a different playground nearby, or come back later in the day.
North York Farmer’s Market
The North York Farmer’s Market has returned to Mel Lastman Square. The market runs every Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM from now until the last Thursday in October.
The Farmer’s Market is a great way to support local farmers and businesses like Willowtree Farm, Motherdough Mill & Bakery, Superior Meats, Elfsong Apiaries, De La Terre Bakery, Thames River Melon and Jack’s Farm.
Even though the Market is outdoors, which reduces the risk if virus transmission, organizers have introduced additional safety measures, such as limiting the number of customers at one time.
